Blogging for Writers, Byron Bay Writers Festival

What started as an online diary, to be shared with friends and family, has flourished as an effective means for individuals and businesses to connect with readers. Bloggers develop strong online communities, which lead to unlimited opportunities, as well as genuine friendships.

Having a blog helps writers connect with potential readers, agents and publishers. It gives writers discipline to refine your craft, and hone your voice. It gives writers confidence, because each time you publish a post, you bare a piece of your writer’s soul. In doing so, you invite feedback, and encourage connection.

In my course next Saturday at the Byron Bay Writers Festival, I will introduce writers to the wonderful world of blogging, and will help writers define why you want to blog, and how to go about it.

Attendants of this fun one-day course will develop a comprehensive blog plan, will learn how to set up your blog using WordPress, and will practice different blogging techniques. You will learn how to reach your intended audience, and encourage connection and engagement.

Attendants will walk away with the confidence and skills to start blogging or develop an existing blog.
